So I’ve just finished The Long Earth (by Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter) and I’m hooked on THAT kind of level.

Craving.

re-read Jane Eyre [which has just arrived today, YAY] or take up Marilynne Robinson’s Gilead, which is bound to make me sad?

Look at these wonderful hardback editions <3 The Great Gatsby and Flappers and Philosophers arrived today; I already owned Tales of the Jazz Age. Aren’t they gorgeous?

So I’m in love.

My Austens <3 Pride and Prejudice is currently on a field trip, trying to get my baby sister interested in reading, along with Good Omens.
I can assure you Emma is as well-read as the others, but I used to be VERY uptight about the condition of my books and recently relaxed. It just hasn’t been read in the last few months.

"Did it matter then, she asked herself, walking towards Bond Street, did it matter that she must inevitably cease completely; all this must go on without her; did she resent it; or did it not become consoling to believe that death ended absolutely? but that somehow in the streets of London, in the ebb and flow of things, here, there, she survived, Peter survived, lived in eachother, she being part, she was positive, of the trees at home; of the house there, ugly, rambling all to bits and pieces as it was; part of people she had never met; being laid out like a mist between the people she knew best, who lifted her on their branches as she had seen the trees lift the mist, but it spread ever so far, her life, herself."

Most of my bookshelves. As I may have mentioned, I pruned my book collection prior to the move, then got 5 bookcases. Did I miscalculate! But, at least I have room for expansion, now.
My short stories and poetry (only half a shelf, don’t get excited) are in case number four.

NOT ENOUGH.
